Pics: Things that Make Me Happy

Because
idirilifinial said I could have pretties too!

This is my favourite shot from Generation Kill. I love how small Brad looks, and how he stands there for a long time, as though he can't quite process everything. The framing's beautiful and it's almost a metaphor for futility. I love this shot.

How green are Nate's eyes!? I love how the sun falls on him here, and the way he looks up to Brad without ever loosing his authority. Poor Nate walks a very lonely line.

Yes, I have a gun kink. And a Nate kink.

And a smokingkink fetish. And a Stark Sands fetish.

And how is Chase Crawford this pretty!? There should be some limit on pretty. Between Chase and Stark, that limit is definitly exceeded.

And Taylor Kitsch is even more beautiful! I think he's still more beautiful than Stark, just about. But he's cutting his hair off, so we'll have to see how that goes...

Gambit is definitly prettier, but that might be something to do with the cards and the Bo and the fact that he's an empath and could totally reflect orgasms back at you (yes, I think about this often...).

Mmm, he looks so peaceful all tied up like that. I kind of wonder if Nate would be the same if Brad pinned him down, just relax into it and let himself drift.

I want sooooo bad! *sighs*
Did I mention in this post that
kahtyasofia is an amazing person with the patience of a saint who doesn't even yell at me for my run-on sentances any more? Because she is. *nods emphatically* Thank you baby. ♥

Date: 2010-01-26 10:04 pm (UTC)You know what's really sad? You put up such a lovely description of that first photo of Brad and all I was capable of thinking was "God that's a tight ass." *le sigh*
The second pic is just gorgeous and heartbreaking to me. My gah! Naaate. Our poor bb Nate.....
And um, yeah. Gun porn. Yes please.

Jesus. Please tell me this is a plot bunny. *throws carrots in your general direction*
A lovely post if I say so myself. Aren't you glad you went through with it?

Date: 2010-01-26 10:15 pm (UTC)Well, yeah, but that's kind of a given. I just love that shot.
Nate is so broken and beautiful and I kind of like him like that, I don't really want him to be well-adjusted or anything.
Please tell me this is a plot bunny Umm... well, for a while it was going into your gun porn, and then I remembered how descriptive I get if I try to do too much and then everything collapses and... general badness occurs. I dunno, I might just write it as a snippet to see what Nate would do, maybe to explore the depths of his and Brad's relationship. It's just something I want to write.
I had soo much fun choosing my pretties! But I didn't like being all selective because some of the pretties might now feel left out. Guess that means I'll have to do another post some time... ♥

Date: 2010-01-27 01:11 am (UTC)Oh, that pic of Remy is delish. And I want your icon!
And you know about your own sentences, I don't have to tell you. You see when I correct them. Besides, it's not nearly as bad as it was! Kind of like me and punctuating dialog!

Date: 2010-01-27 06:45 pm (UTC)Isn't it though! I love the colours and the little smirk like he's planning something. This icon? Feel free to snag, I made it when I was messing around.
My sentances sometimes try to eat me. I think it's because I talk like that... But thank you for fixing them anyway! ♥

Date: 2010-01-28 06:52 am (UTC)I snagged your icon and gave you credit!
Can I just say that in that scene where Logan first finds Remy, the poker player at the table is Daniel Negrano, who is my absolute favorite professional player so it was a three-way squee for me!
Other good captions for your icon:
'Remy Lebeau I am.'
'Jacks over Fives'
'Did ya miss me?'
'Follow me. Now.'

Date: 2010-01-28 06:08 pm (UTC)I really wish Gambit had got more screen time! They're so pretty together, and the backstory is fascinating. AND movie!verse hasn't met Rogue yet, so we don't have to deal with her before we can have Wolverine/Gambit...
*happy sigh*
You like these any better? ♥

Date: 2010-01-29 04:46 am (UTC)Like TK himself said, the movie is called 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine ... not Gambit. Of course he didn't have more screen time! I have the feeling he won some hearts, though. I'm sure we'll see him again!
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Yeah, baby! Puuuuuurrrrrrrrfect.

Date: 2010-01-27 05:12 am (UTC)You're starting to make me think that I need to give Generation Kill another chance. (I only got through the first episode, I think because I was expecting something else, since it had David Simon's name attached to it.)

Date: 2010-01-27 06:50 pm (UTC)I love Gen Kill because it rang so true for me, it's very gritty and real. If you're into shows for the characters rather than the plot (which I'm pretty sure you are, I think we've had a conversation like this already) then it's worth another look. It's pretty complicated the first time through if you're not so good with the military terminology, and trying to keep everyone straight in your head is kind of hard, being as the all look similar to stary with, but it's one of thoses shows that grows the more you watch it.
It's also a good look at platonic male/male relationships... ♥
